Our Story
Born in the basement.
Club ERA opened its doors in June 2024 as Durhams only dedicated queer, gay, trans underground nightclub. We built it because we needed it — a space with no apologies, no dress codes, and no compromises. Naomi Dix club ERA owner is a Durham based born and raised Afro Latinx Drag queen, and is the 5th Drag queen in world history to own a nightclub/gay nightclub. She knows the nightlife like no one else, and prides herself on creating and facilitating safe spaces in the south and beyond! Gay people have always influenced culture and therefore every ERA belong to us!

ERA is run by a small crew of Durham queers who've been part of this community for years. We're promoters, DJs, drag artists, and nightlife veterans — and we built the club we always wanted to go to.
